Today marks the premiere of the irresistible first single from the forthcoming soundtrack to Valley Girl, a musical adaptation of the classic 1983 film. Released via Interscope Records, “We Got The Beat (from the Motion Picture Valley Girl)” by Valley Girl Cast is available now through all digital music retailers and streaming services.
“We Got The Beat” features the bubbly vocals of Jessica Rothe, Ashley Murray, Chloe Bennet, and Jessica Ennis.
The dance numbers for Valley Girl were choreographed by Mandy Moore (La La Land, So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing with the Stars, STARGIRL).

Interscope will release the soundtrack to Valley Girl on May 8. The soundtrack is produced by musical legend Harvey Mason, Jr., who has worked with the likes of Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson and Aretha Franklin along with producing soundtracks for such hit films as Dreamgirls, Pitch Perfect, and Straight Outta Compton.
A note-perfect remake of the Go-Go’s iconic smash single, “We Got The Beat”‘s carefree energy and unstoppably giddy mood fully captures the spirit of the film.
Valley Girl will be available in Select Drive-Ins and on Digital on May 8, 2020!

Synopsis
Julie (Jessica Rothe) is the ultimate ’80s Valley Girl. A creative free spirit; Julie’s time is spent with her best friends shopping at the Galleria mall and making plans for senior prom.
