Let’s start at the beginning… How did you know music is what you wanted to do?
Ever since I was little, l’ve loved listening to music in the car with my family-but even more than that, I loved singing. One year, I was gifted a karaoke machine with a microphone, and from that moment on, I sang with it every single day.

I always knew singing brought me joy, but it wasn’t until my first performance at the age of nine that everything clicked. After I stepped off the stage, I went straight to my mom and told her, ‘This is what I want to do for the rest of my life.’ That moment confirmed what I had always felt deep down: singing isn’t just something I love, it’s who I am.
Thinking back to “American Idol” and the day you received the golden ticket to Hollywood. What went through your mind?
I know a lot of people say they were surprised when they got their golden ticket, but I was honestly shook to my core. I woke up that morning with a sore throat and was unbelievably nervous. All I could think about was not messing up—I just wanted to make my family proud.
When I heard those three yeses, it felt completely surreal, like I was dreaming. It was one of the most overwhelming and unforgettable moments of my life. I’m so unbelievably grateful for that opportunity and for everyone who believed in me.
How has your life changed since being on the show and making it to the Top 24?
My life has changed in so many ways. I made some truly amazing friends on the show-people who understand the journey and share the same passion. Now, I even get recognized in public, and it still blows my mind. People come up to me smiling, saying how much l’ve inspired them. It’s crazy to think that anyone looks up to me, because honestly, I still feel like l’m just me.
I’m not anyone special—I’m just a girl with a dream who decided to go for it. And I’m so incredibly grateful. Grateful for the opportunity, for the people I’ve met, and for every single person who’s supported me along the way. It’s truly a blessing.
How would you describe your musical style and the songs you write?
I write mostly pop music, but if there’s one thing that truly defines me as an artist, it’s that l’m lyrically driven. I love telling a story through my songs—there’s something powerful about being able to put real emotions and experiences into words. For me, the lyrics are everything. That’s where the heart of the song lives, and it’s what I focus on more than anything else.
When can fans expect new music from you?
You can expect new music very soon—and I couldn’t be more excited! I’ve been working hard on songs that truly reflect who I am right now, and I can’t wait to share them with you. Stay tuned, this is just the beginning!

Who is someone you would love to collaborate with?
There are so many artists I admire, but a few dream collaborations would definitely be Billie Eilish, Lizzy McAlpine, Christina Aguilera, Raye, and CIL. Each of them brings such a unique sound and emotional depth to their music. I feel like collaborating with any of them would not only be an incredible experience creatively, but also a chance to learn and grow as an artist.
What do you hope fans get from your music?
I hope they get inspired. My music is really rooted in the lyrics—that’s where the heart of it is. I want people to feel the stories I’m telling. Whether it makes them cry, smile, or just feel something real, I want to create those moments where emotions hit hard and linger. If a song makes someone feel understood, even for a second, then l’ve done what I came to do.
As a tradition in StarShine Magazine, we like to ask what message do you have for your fans and future fans out there?
Never give up. I know it sounds cheesy and everyone says it, but honestly, it’s so true. I’m still working and learning every single day when it comes to chasing my dreams. So no matter what, keep pushing. If you love what you do, it’s always going to be worth it.
