You are currently viewing 10 of the Hottest Onscreen Vampires

There is just something about vampires that intrigue us.  Maybe it’s the fascination with good versus evil… or maybe it’s because vampires represent an exaggerated version of humanity: suffering from our past demons, wanting what we can’t have, and being afraid of death.

Eh, who are we kidding?  Most of us love vampires because they’re incredibly sexy and are often shirtless.  We all want a bad boy with a secret heart of gold!  StarShine just can’t get enough vampires, so we decided to compile a list of the hottest vamps from movies and TV!  Thanks to our social media followers for helping us out!

10. Louis de Pointe du Lac

Interview with the Vampire
Portrayed by: Brad Pitt
With his ice blue eyes and pouty lips, Louis is probably the most tormented vampire on our list.  Brad Pitt brought Anne Rice’s character to life and solidified his career in Hollywood.

9. Deacon Frost

Blade
Portrayed by: Stephen Dorff

The only straight-up villain on our list, even though Deacon’s plan was to rid the world of humans, we still find him quite attractive.

8. Michael Emerson

The Lost Boys
Portrayed by: Jason Patric

Oh the ’80s. I remember loving Michael’s dangling earring in The Lost Boys… it was so George Michael! While I was much more of a fan of his brother Sam’s (Corey Haim), I loved his interactions with his transitioning vampire brother.

Note: Even though this poll shows a tie, it doesn't include the votes we received in our Instagram and Facebook comments. Michael received more overall votes.

7. Elijah Mikaelson

The Vampire Diaries
The Originals
Portrayed by: Daniel Gillies

The dapper original vampire Elijah first appeared on The Vampire Diaries as a suspicious enemy that no one but the human doppelganger Elena trusted.  As we learned in The Originals, Elijah is far from an enemy, even though he has his moments.  He’s a man of morals and loyalty… and he wears the hell out of a suit!

5. Jasper Hale

Twilight Saga
Portrayed by: Jackson Rathbone

The only Cullen without the same last name, Jasper didn’t say much, but like his character’s ability to control other people’s emotions, we felt compelled to be excited when he was around.

4. Klaus Mikaelson

The Vampire Diaries
The Originals
Portrayed by: Joseph Morgan

Ah, Klaus… we hated him, we feared him, and then he melted our hearts time and again as much as he’s broken them. Whether he was turning us into mush by painting portraits for Caroline, making us laugh by calling Stefan “Ripper” in his adorable accent, or literally ripping hearts out, we loved to hate him, but we also just loved him.

3. Eric Northman

True Blood
Portrayed by: Alexander Skarsgård

I think they invented the term “sex on a stick” to describe Alexander Skarsgård, or more likely Alexander Skarsgård’s portrayal of Eric Northman.  He never shied away from showing us some skin and we appreciate that.  But seriously, Eric was such a great character that we truly miss.

2. Damon Salvatore

The Vampire Diaries
Portrayed by: Ian Somerhalder

If I didn’t enlist the help of social media followers, Damon would be #1 on this list. His snarky sense of humor alone makes me love him, combine that with those smoldering blue eyes, a devious smile, a tendency to both literally and figuratively lose his shirt, along with his loyalty to first Katherine and then Elena… How can you not be smitten with him?

1. Edward Cullen

Twilight Saga
Portrayed by: Robert Pattinson

Robert Pattinson will never live this role down.  While the British actor has some serious talent, we’re glad he indulged us as a teen heartthrob for 5 movies!  Edward’s tight-lipped smirk, intense stares, and fierce protective nature still lands him at #1 over a decade after Twilight‘s 2008 film release!
